The Cedartown Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Cedartown waltzed into Friday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 33-7 margin over Northwest Whitfield. Considering Cedartown has won three matchups by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was Juelz Davis, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Davis really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tae Harris, who gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal didn't have too much trouble with Hapeville Charter on the road on Thursday as they won 38-23.
Cedartown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
