Basketball Recap: Morningside Academy Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

Morningside Academy won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent and things went their way on Friday too. The Morningside Academy Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 51-16. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.

Morningside Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arianah Wallace out in front who posted 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Wallace has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Ari Mosley was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine steals.

Morningside Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Morningside Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 0-0 win against Lake Worth on the 11th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next matchup (against Fairfax Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
