Richton walked away with a 44-32 win over the Tigers on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Richton also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who scored 22 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Robins continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Dherria Barlow was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Richton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. As for Collins, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
Richton will face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (North Forrest is ranked 245th, while the Rebels are ranked 222nd). As for Collins, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Mize is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
