Meanwhile, Hodgeman County came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 59-53 win over Kiowa County on Friday.
Owen Reece continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Hodgeman County's points. Another player making a difference was Ian Reece, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Pawnee Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Hodgeman County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Monday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Hamby and Reece. Hamby has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 14.1 points, 2.9 steals, and 3.1 assists. For his part, Reece has averaged 27.8 points, 1.9 blocks, and 9.1 rebounds.
