The Fort Calhoun Pioneers won the last time they faced the Arlington Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Fort Calhoun walked away with a 55-42 victory over Arlington. Given Fort Calhoun's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Arlington is ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grayson Bouwman was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Adam Elofson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Fort Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Calhoun's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Conestoga at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Arlington will take on Fort Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
