Perry Meridian extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 8-17. They came up short against the Whiteland Warriors, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Addison Short made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kadyn Shaul, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Whiteland, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.
On Whiteland's side, Joslynn Skaggs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Skaggs was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Whiteland let Aubrey Felker and Addi Smith run wild. Felker went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Smith went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Kaelyn Putnam was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Coming up, Perry Meridian will welcome Martinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whiteland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Center Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
