The Fox Tech Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the South San Antonio West Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Tech has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 236 points over their last four matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fox Tech ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They secured a 61-56 W over London. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Among those leading the charge was Amaryon Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah DeLaRosa, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, South San Antonio West's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 62-49 to Sam Houston.
Fredericksburg's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Fox Tech's defeat dropped theirs to 2-8.
Fox Tech beat South San Antonio West 68-56 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fox Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
