Given Grundy County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Sequatchie County is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sequatchie County's loss came despite strong showings from Ryker Terry and Beckham McKendric. Terry scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals, while McKendric scored 12 points. The match was Terry's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Grundy County's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sequatchie County, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Grundy County will head out on the road to face off against Bledsoe County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bledsoe County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Sequatchie County, they will play host again and welcome Sale Creek, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sale Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
