Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Harbatkin, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Cohen, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Stoneman Douglas had a senior duo take command as Jaheem Smith scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and Ethan Schwartzman scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Stoneman Douglas' points. Another player making a difference was Ayden Mclean, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds.
Olympic Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stoneman Douglas, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Olympic Heights will be playing at home against Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stoneman Douglas' road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully St. Thomas Aquinas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Saturday.
