Maple Heights and the Bearcats are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Maple Heights Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Bedford Bearcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Maple Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Maple Heights, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to the Titans.
Morgan Wilson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Dillard, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Bedford came up short against the Lawyers on Thursday and fell 45-32.
Maple Heights' loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Bedford, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Maple Heights strolled past the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 51-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maple Heights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
