The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seneca Valley has scored all season.
Seneca Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mina Hashemzadeh, who scored ten points. Brielle Watson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Seneca Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Whitman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Seneca Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northwood at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Northwood is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Whitman will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Walter Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
