P.K. Yonge will challenge Hawthorne on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, P.K. Yonge and Hawthorne will really light up the scoreboard.
P.K. Yonge made easy work of Keystone Heights last week and carried off a 41-14 win. Senior Israel Wilcox, who rushed for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in P.K. Yonge's success.
Meanwhile, Hawthorne was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They steamrollered North Florida Educational Institute 60-0. With Hawthorne ahead 46-0, the game was all but decided by halftime.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. P.K. Yonge's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Hawthorne defensive front that amassed 6 sacks against North Florida Educational Institute, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
