The Owings Mills Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 51-23 loss at the hands of Carver A&T. Owings Mills has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Leading Carver A&T to victory were Elisah Guity and Jada McAliley. Guity scored 14 points, while McAliley scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McAliley has scored all season.
Owings Mills dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for Carver A&T, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Owings Mills will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Woodlawn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Wednesday. As for Carver A&T, they will head out on the road to take on the Bay Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Chesapeake is ranked 155th, while the Wildcats are ranked 146th).
