Fuquay - Varina and Garner are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bengals will face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fuquay - Varina's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
Fuquay - Varina's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past South Garner 15-0. Considering the Bengals have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Chloe Webb and Jaycie Old did most of the damage at the plate: Webb got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Old went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Old a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Taylor, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Clayton hit Garner with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans fell just short of the Comets by a score of 6-5. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Gabriella Czuczuk put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Czuczuk was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gaby Mizelle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Fuquay - Varina has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Fuquay - Varina couldn't quite get it done against Garner in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 12-7. Can the Bengals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
