Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Capitan). They blew past the Water Canyon Wildcats 24-8 on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
Danni Waters was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Pauline Timpson and Naveya Estrada did most of the damage at the plate: Timpson scored four runs while going 3-for-3, while Estrada went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
