Minneola has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ingalls Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Minneola was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to the Wildcats.
Minneola's defeat came about despite a quality game from Maiya Shelor, who scored 21 points. That was a full 53.8% of Minneola's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braegen Shelor, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Ingalls was the victim of a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of the Hornets on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Ingalls came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Hornets are ranked 253rd).
Minneola's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Ingalls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Minneola ended up a good deal behind the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January, losing 54-40. Can Minneola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
