Baseball Recap: Hollis Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Hollis strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Snyder Cyclones with a sharp 18-3 win. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sean Snellings and Matt Parker did most of the damage at the plate: Snellings went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Parker got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Snellings has posted since back in March of 2025. Ace Martinez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Hollis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snyder only posted a batting average of .222.

Hollis' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Snyder, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Hollis will welcome Sayre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Snyder, they will face off against Burns Flat-Dill City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
