The San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over Lucerne Valley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as San Jacinto Leadership Academy also won the last time the pair played on Friday.
San Jacinto Leadership Academy was led to victory by Ezra Olguin and Eric McWright. Olguin scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while McWright scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jake Gagnepain, who scored six points.
Derrick Tyler and Anthony Navarro certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Tyler dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Navarro scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Tyler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.
San Jacinto Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Lucerne Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Lucerne Valley is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
