The Firth Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Marsh Valley Eagles at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Firth pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-60 to South Fremont. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (55), Firth still had to take the loss.
Despite their loss, Firth saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daytona Folkman, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Folkman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Rachel Jacobsen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Marsh Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Teton, falling 68-38.
Their wins bumped Firth to 2-3 and South Fremont to 4-1.
