On Tuesday, Lake Ridge Academy came up short against Westside Christian Academy and fell 60-48. Lake Ridge Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Trent Douglass, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds for Westside Christian Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Douglass has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Taylor, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lake Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Westside Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Ridge Academy will take on Andrews Osborne Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Ridge Academy is facing Andrews Osborne Academy at the right time seeing as Andrews Osborne Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Westside Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian is coming into the game with four straight losses at home, meaning Westside Christian Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
