Moore Catholic put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders a 5-0 shutout. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

The result came thanks to NICHOLAS NEVILLE's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, TODD VIERRA and JUSTIN NELSON did most of the damage at the plate: VIERRA went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while NELSON went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most runs VIERRA has posted over his last nine matchups. Another player making a difference was CHRISTOPHER EUGENE, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Moore Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Stepinac, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore Catholic will face off against Monsignor Scanlan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Stepinac, they will square off against Albertus Magnus at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
