Pisgah has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the East Henderson Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pisgah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 425 points over their last six contests.
Last Friday, Pisgah didn't have too much trouble with Tuscola on the road as they won 66-52. Given Pisgah's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Tuscola is ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Sawyer Belue, who scored 24 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Aaron Clark was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Even though East Henderson has not done well against North Henderson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. East Henderson came out on top in a nail-biter against North Henderson and snuck past 51-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory East Henderson has posted yet this season.
Caiden Brewer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Nix, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Pisgah's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5. As for East Henderson, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Pisgah have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 39.6% of their threes per game. However, it's not like East Henderson struggles in that department as they've nailed 44.3% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
