Basketball Recap: Riverview Academy of Math and Science Has No Trouble Against Winter Haven Christian

On Monday, the Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas strolled past the Winter Haven Christian Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barracudas.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science found their leader in freshman Caden Cook, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Cook. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayshaun Johnson, who posted 14 points.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Winter Haven Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science and Varsity Opponent will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Winter Haven Christian, they and Families Instructing Students HomeSchool will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
