The Edgewood Red Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Brevard Christian at home by a decisive 60-43 margin. Edgewood lost against Brevard Christian in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-39 score last time.
Several Red Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Clark, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. Brayden Wasdin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Edgewood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Brevard Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood will take on Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Brevard Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Merritt Island Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Merritt Island Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
