Morrice is 8-2 against Genesee since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Morrice Orioles will head out on the road to take on the Genesee Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Morrice is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Morrice was beaten by Corunna 63-22.
Genesee won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They suffered a tough 68-47 defeat at the hands of International Academy.
Despite the loss, Genesee had strong showings from Aiden Croak, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Connor Rouse, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Croak is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight.
Morrice's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Genesee, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Morrice didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Genesee when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morrice since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
