The Whitman Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 79-52 win over Kennedy on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-23.
Thomas Farrell was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 2 assists. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. Hayden Walsh was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The win was the third in a row for Whitman, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitman will be home for the holidays to greet Poolesville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy will be home for the holidays to greet Blair at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
