Romy DeCenzo looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Wheeler, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Gage Petrutz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, North Marion earned an 8-3 victory over Dunnellon on Thursday. The game marked the Colts' most dominant win of the season so far.
Maddox Roberts looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Wally Lasher was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tucker Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Marion, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Trinity Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over North Marion when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 10-5. Will the Conquerors repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
