The Lakota West Firebirds lost against the Mason Comets back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lakota West was the victim of a rough 55-35 defeat at the hands of Mason. Lakota West has not had much luck with Mason recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
It was another big night for Madison Parrish, who scored 24 points for Mason. The match was Parrish's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Riley Yost, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Lakota West now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mason, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Lakota West will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. As for Mason, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
