Fountain Hills's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Red Rock Scorpions a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Falcons have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fountain Hills let Mason Meyen and Jacob Petric run wild. Meyen went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Petric scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Petric a new career-high. Sam Barnard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fountain Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Rock only managed one hit.

Fountain Hills' win bumped their record up to 7-3-1. As for Red Rock, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Fountain Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against North Valley Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Valley Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.93 runs per game on average), something Fountain Hills will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Red Rock, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-0 defeat against Phoenix Christian on the 28th.
