At the plate, West Ranch let Mikey Murr and Nolan Stoll run wild. Murr got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs, while Stoll went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Oh, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
West Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sultana only posted an OBP of .083.
Meanwhile, Etiwanda earned an 8-3 victory over Servite on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly five runs.
Michael Aleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Derick Kim, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Lj Roellig was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
West Ranch's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Etiwanda, their win bumped their record up to 17-12-1.
