Fairbanks has gone a perfect 6-0 against Greenon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will face off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Fairbanks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Greenon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Fairbanks got the win against Southeastern Local by a conclusive 7-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.
Macy Kise spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Elizabeth Gregory was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Claire Meihls was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Greenon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Triad by a score of 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.
Greenon also let their pitcher toss all nine innings and she was also dialed-in: Danielle Henderson gave up only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, Greenon let Haley Ivon and Peyton Walker run wild. Ivon went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Walker went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Birt, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one double.
The victory made it two in a row for Fairbanks and bumps their season record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Greenon, their record now sits at 7-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Fairbanks has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Greenon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Fairbanks' way against Greenon in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Fairbanks made off with an 11-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
