Ridgeland is 1-9 against Ringgold since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ridgeland Panthers will play host again and welcome the Ringgold Tigers, where tip off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Hopefully Ridgeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Ridgeland came up short against Trion and fell 61-51. The loss was Ridgeland's first of the season.
John Hill put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chase Hickman was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Ringgold was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Southeast Whitfield County 67-37 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-11.
Their wins bumped Ridgeland to 3-1 and Trion to 2-0.
Ridgeland suffered a grim 79-55 defeat to Ringgold in their previous matchup back in January. Can Ridgeland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
