Andrews is 0-3 against Lake View since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Andrews Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lake View Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky.
Andrews scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Liberty a 4-0 shutout. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Andrews with their most commanding win of the season.
Meanwhile, Lake View waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They put the hurt on Pecos with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for Lake View, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.
Their offense was hitting Pecos from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.
Andrews' win bumped their record up to 2-4-2. As for Lake View, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Andrews suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Lake View in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Andrews was down 4-0.
