The Troy Trojans and the Withrow Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Troy Trojans had to settle for second. Troy was outmatched by Withrow at home and fell 42-14. It was the first time this season that Troy let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Troy saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Kirkpatrick rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Withrow, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Withrow will head out on the road to face off against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anderson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 302 points over their last seven matches.
