Undefeated at Milpitas Spikefest last week, Archbishop Mitty hosts its own tournament this weekend.
2. (2) Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), 1-0
Defeated Marymount 3-2 last week. Plays at Corona del Mar on Sept. 15.
3. (4) Reagan (San Antonio, Texas), 29-1
Reagan defeated Roosevelt 3-0 in District 26 play. Kayla Keller had eight kills and Kayci Evans added seven in the win.
4. (5) Catholic Academy (Joliet, Illinois), 10-0
The Angels took a pair (2-0) from Waubonsie Valley and Bolingbrook to remain undefeated.
5. (6) Ursuline Academy (Cincinnati, Ohio), 6-0
The Fighting Irish swept Archbishop Alter 3-0 and Mother of Mercy 3-0 to stay No. 1 in the Cincinnati area 1 by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Jade Henderson had 10 kills in the win over Mother of Mercy while Christina Beer had 12 in the Alter victory.
6. (7) Shakopee (Minnesota), 8-0
The Sabers captured first place at the Shakopee Invitational, defeating Jackson County Central in the finals 2-0.
7. (8) Muncie Burris (Muncie, Indiana), 15-0
The Owls dropped Delta and Wapahani 3-0 to stay undefeated at 15-0. Taylor Unroe, Taylor Morey and Chelsie Toth all had eight kills apiece in the win over Wapahani.
8. (9) Berkeley Prep (Tampa, Fla.), 5-0
The Buccaneers head to the Archbishop Mitty Tournament this week with a 5-0 record after sweeping Clearwater Central Catholic and Venice by 3-0 scores. Jordan Burgess had 14 kills against Venice.

9. (10) Dos Pueblos (Goleta, California), 2-0
The Chargers got off to an impressive start with 3-0 win over Valencia and Harvard-Westlake. Sally Yingst came up big against Harvard-Westlake by putting down 13 kills. Carly Wopat was close behind with 12 while Sam Wopat had eight.
10. (11) La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, Calif.), 1-0
The defending state champion Mavericks easily defeated Santa Fe Christian 3-0 in their season opener. La Costa Canyon plays at Carlsbad on Wednesday.
11. (13) Huntsville (Ala.), 30-0
The Panthers, ranked No. 1 in Alabama 6A rankings by the Birmingham News, take on defending state champion Bob Jones on Sept. 15.
12. (14) Coffman (Dublin, Ohio), 4-0
The Shamrocks blanked Worthing 3-0 and Darby 3-0 behind the hitting of Andrea Baylin. She had 14 kills in the Worthington victory and 18 against Darby.
13. (15) Plant (Tampa, Fla.), 8-0
The Panthers won the Gater Town Classic at Buchholtz High School with a 5-0 record. Tournament MVP Maddie Martin had 17 kills in the finals against Stuart Martin County. Becca Howard added 50 assists.
14. (NR) Santa Barbara (Calif.), 2-0
Defeated Newbury Park and defending Southern Section 1-AA champion Santa Margarita to start the season 2-0.
15. (19) Marian (Omaha, Neb.), 9-0
The Crusaders had little trouble last week, defeating North Star and Omaha Westside by 3-0 scores.
16. (20) Pleasant Grove (Utah), 3-0
The Vikings won a big showdown at Lone Peak, beating the defending state champions 3-1. Kimberly Dahl had 13 kills and Jennifer Hamson added 12 in Pleasant Grove’s win.
17. (22) Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.), 13-0
The Gators won the Westwood Tournament of Champions, defeating Sunnyslope 2-0 in the semifinals and topping Gilbert 2-0 in the championship match.
18. (23) Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, Colo.), 2-0
The Lions began the season with a 3-0 win over Peyton and a 3-2 victory over Doherty. Morgan Broekhuis had 12 kills in the opener and 22 in the Doherty victory. Teammate Brianne Vande Griend added 15 in the latter victory.
19. (16) Wilson (Long Beach, Calif.), 0-0
The Bruins open their season Sept. 15 at home against Vista Murrieta.
20. (NR) Lee’s Summit West (Lee’s Summit, Mo.), 8-0
The Titans won the Mo-Kan Challenge Tournament with a win over Blue Springs in the final. The tournament field included Bishop Miege, and St. Thomas Aquinas.
21. (NR) Sacred Heart (Louisville, Kent.), 8-2
Avenged an earlier loss to Assumption by beating the Rockets in the finals of the Active Ankle Louisville Invitational Tournament.
22. (NR) Assumption (Louisville, Kent.), 11-1
The Rockets defeated Mercy at the Active Ankle Louisville Invitational Tournament, but they fell to Sacred Heart in the finals.
23. (24) Chaska (Minn.), 3-0
The Hawks are 3-0 after stopping Lakeville South 3-1.
24. (25) Jesuit (Portland, Ore.), 1-0
The defending Crusaders got past Sheldon 3-0 last week and face Canby on Sept. 15.
25. (3) Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, Kansas), 7-1
Lost to Blue Springs in pool play at the Mo-Kan Challenge Tournament and finished third.
