Appleton East needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Zoe Wockenfus. The Patriots walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sevastopol Pioneers on Saturday for which the team can thank Wockenfus, who had 12 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Appleton East's win bumped their record up to 11-24. As for Sevastopol, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season.

Appleton East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Shawano Community on the 18th. As for Sevastopol, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Kaukauna on the 18th.
