The Brady Bulldogs waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over Llano. The score was all tied up 24-24 at the break, but Brady was the better team in the second half.
Brady's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaydence Tully, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five assists. Tully hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Lola Whisenhunt, who scored 17 points.
Llano lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amelia Robinson, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Sydney Kuykendall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Brady's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Llano, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brady will face off against Blanco at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Blanco is ranked 849th, while Brady is ranked 859th). As for Llano, they will head out on the road to take on Ingram Moore at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ingram Moore is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
