The Chesterton Trojans are taking a road trip to  square off against the Washington Township Senators  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Friday, Chesterton took their  matchup  with ease, bagging  a  56-21 victory over Michigan City. Given the Trojans' advantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 103rd, while the Wolves are ranked 285th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Chesterton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Novea Brandon, who  went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points plus six  rebounds and four  steals, and   Tenley Davis, who  had 12 points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals. The dominant performance also gave  Brandon a new career-high in  field goal percentage (60%).  Lindsi Mcguffey was another key player,  earning nine points in addition to two  steals.
 Meanwhile, Washington Township got the win against Boone Grove  on Friday by a conclusive  58-34. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Senators.
 Washington Township's win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 5-4. As for Chesterton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
 Everything went Chesterton's way against Washington Township in their previous matchup  back in December of 2023, as Chesterton made off with  a  76-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chesterton since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
