The Citronelle Wildcats were the 47-39 winner over the Robertsdale Golden Bears when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Citronelle fell 48-40 to Robertsdale on Thursday. Citronelle's defeat keeps them winless this season.
When it comes to explaining why Citronelle lost, one person who can't be blamed is Justin Adams. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Adams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cory Taylor, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Robertsdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Stevens, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Singler, who scored 10 points.
Citronelle's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Robertsdale, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Citronelle will take on St. Paul's Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robertsdale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fairhope at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Fairhope presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Robertsdale in Alabama (Fairhope is ranked 13th, while Robertsdale is ranked 268th).
