Holy Trinity was the victim of a tough 51-27 defeat at the hands of Walther Christian Academy on Thursday. Holy Trinity has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Walther Christian Academy was led to victory by Saniyya Harvey and Jocelyn Rivera. Harvey scored 14 points along with eight steals, while Rivera scored 13 points along with four steals. The game was Harvey's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tamia Allen, who scored eight points.
Holy Trinity has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Walther Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity will take on Cristo Rey Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walther Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday.
