Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oxbow walked away with it. They never let the Lake Region Rangers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Olympians, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Oxbow secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Player #6, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
The win (which was Oxbow's sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Region, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-5 record.
As of now, neither Oxbow nor the Rangers have any future games scheduled.
