Everything went their way against the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-3 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Madison Hill and Kendall Allen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hill pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Allen tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Hill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hill scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Allen scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Allen a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracelyn Edmonstone, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Cadence Metzger also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
