Lutheran East was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  3-0 to the Harvey Red Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the  3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
 Lutheran East was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Harvey work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 28-26,  25-16.
 Harvey can attribute much of their success to  Ja'Zarie Davis, who  had five  digs and four  aces. Davis is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
Lutheran East's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Harvey, their victory  ended  a  ten-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran East will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North at 6:30  p.m.  on September 22. As for Harvey, they will venture away from home to  face off against Laurel  at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
