Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boyd to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Boyer, who scored 20 points. The matchup was Boyer's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Trey Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Boyd, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Clyde will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bridgeport at 10:30 a.m. Bridgeport is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Boyd, they will square off against Sweetwater at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Sweetwater is ranked 861st, while Boyd is ranked 864th).
