Calaveras will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Modesto Christian at 5:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Calaveras had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 7-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Escalon.
Meanwhile, Modesto Christian might have drawn first blood against Edison last Friday, but it was Edison who got the last laugh. Modesto Christian lost to Edison by a decisive 6-25 margin.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
