The Northview Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Jay on the road and fell 64-29. While losing is never fun, Northview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while Jay is ranked 327th).
Northview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JIKEIR HUDSON, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of AUSTIN DONSFORD, who scored six points.
Northview dropped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Jay, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.
Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-58 victory vs. Central on the 8th.
