Conrad Weiser is 0-4 against Cocalico since August of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Conrad Weiser Scouts will be playing at home against the Cocalico Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Conrad Weiser will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Cocalico is ranked 28th).
Conrad Weiser fell victim to Lampeter-Strasburg's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Pioneers, falling 42-0. Conrad Weiser has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Cocalico entered their tilt with Berks Catholic with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Cocalico blew past Berks Catholic 42-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Cocalico, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Cocalico can attribute much of their success to Aaryn Longenecker, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and P. Dane Horning, who rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Longenecker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Conrad Weiser's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cocalico, their win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Conrad Weiser took a serious blow against Cocalico when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 49-0. Will Conrad Weiser have more luck at home instead of on the road?
