On Saturday, the Seton Catholic Sentinels kept a clean sheet against the Mesquite Wildcats. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 4-0 win. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Seton Catholic considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.
They hit Mesquite with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ella Bruening,
Rylie Kelly,
Meghan Garby, and
Madeline Breen.
Seton Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-3 record this season. As for Mesquite, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Seton Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mesquite, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Goldwater at 6:00 p.m. Goldwater's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
