Stanton was the 2-0 winner over Pender when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Pendragons by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Stanton actually scored more points across those three sets (70-68), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 27-25, 16-25, 25-20.

Pender was led to victory by Mattilyn Trimble and Samantha Kinning. Trimble had 13 digs and two assists, while Kinning had 11 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Kinning has posted since back in October of 2024.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Pender, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Stanton has already played their next match (against Humphrey-Lindsay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pender, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Wisner-Pilger on the 23rd.
