If The Creekview Grizzlies were feeling good off their 35-3 takedown of the Woodstock Wolverines last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Creekview was beaten by Rome 55-19 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Creekview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Rome is ranked 14th).
When it comes to explaining why Creekview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Stanley. Despite the final result, he gained 147 total yards and a touchdown.
Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Rome, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Creekview will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Blessed Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. As for Rome, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Etowah at 7:30 p.m.
